Bike theft
The Nanaimo RCMP wishes to remain people that bike theft continues to be a concern in our community with at least one bike being stolen every 2 days. During the summer months, the number of bikes reported stolen increases significantly. Bikes are not only a means of transportation but also a source of enjoyment and exercise. Losing a bike to theft can be distressing and financially burdensome, however; there are several steps we can all take to minimize the risk of bike theft and protect our valuable belongings.

Here are several steps to take to help minimize the risk of bike theft:

Let's work together to create a safer environment for all cyclists. By taking these preventive steps, we can make a significant difference in reducing bike thefts in our community.
