Road safety and ICBC Speed Campaign

Lillooet-Lytton RCMP receive hundreds of traffic related calls for service each year. Given the numerous highways running through the communities, road safety is one of the key priorities for police.

ICBC Speed Campaign:

On May 1, 2024 ICBC launched a provincial Speed Campaign promoting traffic safety, complimenting existing community initiatives such as Speed Watch (A volunteer-based program assisting local law enforcement across B.C.).

With more people sharing the roads during warmer months, we’re asking drivers to slow down, be attentive to all road users, and follow posted speed limits, even in ideal conditions (quote from ICBC).
