On March 22, 2025, a West Shore RCMP Crime Reduction Unit officer was patrolling when they observed a vehicle engage in suspicious activity that led the officer to suspect drug trafficking was taking place.
The vehicle was stopped by police near the intersection of Awsworth Rd and Sooke Rd in Langford and the driver was arrested for drug trafficking related offences. Police seized approximately 45 grams of suspected Cocaine during a search incidental to the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect, who is identified as a 32-year-old Colwood man was released on an Undertaking with an upcoming court date. This investigation is still ongoing and no further details can be shared at this time.
