Police quickly respond to house fire in Gibsons

On June 30, 2025, at 11:00 am, Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to a report of a structure fire in the 300 Block of Bridgeman Rd, Gibsons. Police were first on scene, confirming that no individuals were inside the residence at the time of the fire, prior to Gibsons Fire Department and Roberts Creek Fire Department arriving.

The fire is currently active but controlled with no risk to the public or wildfire. Local traffic only on Bridgeman Rd with access from North Rd.

Police are currently working with Gibsons and Roberts Creek Fire Department to investigate the origin and cause of fire.

At this time, the investigation remains in its early stages and no further details are available.
