Surrey RCMP is advising the public that the victim from a stabbing that occurred in Whalley has succumbed to her injuries. The suspect has now has been charged with second degree murder.
On September 8, 2024 at 2:16 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a possible pedestrian struck in the area of 108 Avenue and King George Boulevard. When officers arrived on scene, they located a woman with stab wounds and determined she had not been struck by a vehicle as initially reported. On September 13, 2024, the victim died in hospital. The family of the victim has been notified and is being supported.
Surrey RCMP General Investigations Unit continued their investigation and submitted additional disclosure to BC Prosecution Service.
On October 3, 2024, Jennifer Kipp was charged with second degree murder and remains in custody awaiting a possible bail hearing in Supreme Court.
