A police presence is cleared, but vehicle access is still limited in the area of Laval Crescent and Notre Dame Drive, following a traffic incident earlier today.
Kamloops RCMP Detachment frontline officers were called to the 900-block of Notre Dame Drive around 9:10 a.m. today, Jan. 31, 2024, where a truck had struck the wires on a utility pole. No injuries were reported.
It was quickly determined that the wires were not power lines, but needed to be repaired, said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. Roadway access remains reduced to allow the appropriate fixes to be made.
