Join us for a spectacular showcase at the Coquitlam RCMP Show n’ Shine

Coquitlam RCMP are inviting the public to the annual Emergency Services Show n’ Shine event on Friday, July 19, 2024.

The 2024 Show n’ Shine event will be open to the public between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex located at 633 Poirier Street in Coquitlam. This event is free and will include demonstrations from emergency services, a variety of exhibitions and other family-friendly activities.

The Coquitlam RCMP Show n’ Shine is a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with the community, said Media Relations Officer, Corporal Alexa Hodgins. This event gives you and your family the chance to explore, learn, connect and have fun with Coquitlam’s Emergency Service Teams.

The event will host booths and demonstrations from:

• Coquitlam RCMP;
• Coquitlam Fire and Rescue;
• Coquitlam Search and Rescue;
• Coquitlam Bylaws Enforcement;
• BC Sheriff Service (BCSS);
• BC Conservation Officer Service (COS);
• BC Ambulance Service (BCAS);
• Integrated Emergency Response Unit (IERT);
• RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit (EDU);
• Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services (IPDS);
• Coquitlam RCMP Rural Policing;
• Surrey RCMP’s Diversity and Indigenous Peoples Unit;
• Crime Stoppers;
• Tri-City Speed Watch; and
• Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC).

In addition to the attending agencies, there will be live music by Avalon Valley and items available for purchase from food trucks.
