Surrey, Integrated Homicide Investigation Team

On April 26, 2024 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of a sudden death of a woman inside a residence in the area of 76 Avenue and 142 Street. Frontline officers with assistance from the Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit, responded to the residence and located the 33-year-old female victim.
This is an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety at this time.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with Surrey RCMP.
Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase; no further information will be provided at this time. Further details and media availability will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
