On September 6, an officer observed a pickup truck which was swerving, braking, and accelerating. The officer conducted a traffic stop to determine sobriety and immediately observed boxes of ammunition in various locations, empty beer cans, and drug paraphernalia throughout the front seat. The man was detained for an impaired investigation. The officer located rifles and a shotgun in the back seat which were insecure, one of which was loaded, along with knives and additional ammunition. The man was found not to be impaired, however, RCMP will be forwarding the results of the investigation to BC Prosecution Services for consideration of charges.
