Excessive speeding on Highway 95A

Over the past few days, Kimberley RCMP has stopped two vehicles on Highway 95A south of Marysville for excessive speed.

On June 14, 2024 a vehicle was stopped while travelling at 196 km/h and on June 17, 2024 a vehicle was stopped travelling at 152 km/h - both in 100 km/h speed zones.

Both drivers, aged 18 and 85 years old respectively were issued Violation Tickets and had their vehicles impounded for 7 days.

The Kimberley RCMP reminds drivers to slow down and that enforcement will continue in the areas that high risk driving is reported.
