Williams Lake RCMP responded to 272 calls for service from June 19-26, 2025. Frontline officers responded to various calls involving impaired driving to causing a disturbance. Here are a few of the highlights:

June 19, 2025

• A few arrests were made throughout the day on various individuals who had warrants.
• An individual was arrested for theft from a local business then released with a no-go condition to the business.
• A wallet was found and card fraudulently used. The suspect was arrested and the wallet returned.

June 20, 2025

• Cariboo- Chilcotin Crime Reduction Unit and Williams Lake police executed a search warrant at a residence suspected to be involved in illicit drug activity. One individual arrested and held in custody.
• A man was arrested for public intoxication in Boitanio Park.
• Three impaired drivers removed from the road and given driving prohibitions for 90 days.
• A man was arrested due to an unendorsed warrant and held for court.

June 21, 2025

• A man was intoxicated and punching street signs in a parking lot of a business. The man was arrested and lodged into cells.
• A man was arrested for breaching his release conditions from a previous matter.
• A vehicle was broken into resulting in a wallet being stolen. Police remind the public not to leave valuable items in their vehicles.
• Two impaired drivers were removed from the road and given 3 day driving prohibitions.

June 22, 2025

• A vehicle was stolen overnight but then observed and recovered by police later that same day. The individual that stole the vehicle was located within the business it was parked at and arrested then held for court.
• A female was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and brought to the hospital for assessment.
• A male was de-escalated by police while receiving medical treatment at the hospital.

June 23, 2025

• A female was causing a disturbance at the hospital which resulted in police attendance. The female was de-escalated and no longer a disturbance.
• A male was causing a disturbance at the hospital which resulted in police attendance. The male was given the proper care he required and police were no longer required.
• Police responded to a workplace incident which resulted in an injury. No impairment or criminality was identified.
• Police received report of domestic violence. Investigation completed and arrest made.

June 24, 2025

• Williams Lake RCMP were requested to assist with the disposal of explosives located at a rural residence. After investigation it was determined this was not criminal in nature as the explosives belonged to a miner with all required blasting certifications. The RCMP explosive disposal unit attended and disposed of the explosives in a safe manner.
• Williams Lake RCMP were called to a bear inside a residence. Police attended to clear the residence and confirmed no bear located.
• A man was reported to be a danger to himself and others. Police attended his residence and apprehended him before bringing him to the care of the hospital. Firearms were seized from the residence.
• A woman was apprehended under the mental health act due to her erratic behaviour that was a danger to herself and others.

June 25, 2025

• A female was reported as missing. The female was located without incident.
• A report was received of a male with a firearm entering a sea can and then departed. Williams Lake RCMP members were able to identify the individual and there was no firearm involved.
• A female was arrested for causing a disturbance and lodged in cells until she was safe to care for herself.
• A male was arrested for causing a disturbance and lodged in cells until he was safe to care for himself.
• A male was given a 3-day driving prohibition due to impairment.

June 26, 2025

• 5 separate individuals were arrested throughout the day for their endorsed and unendorsed warrants.
• A male was given a 90-driving prohibition due to impairment.
• A male was reported to be causing a disturbance which resulted in their arrest and lodged in cells until he was safe to care for himself.
• Williams Lake RCMP responded to a robbery in progress. The report was founded to be inaccurate resulting in one arrest of an individual causing a disturbance upon further investigation.
