Suspect arrested in stolen vehicle on highway 1 in Langley

At approximately 1:40 PM, Langley RCMP received a report of a theft of vehicle in the area of 201 street and 81 avenue in Langley. Officers immediately began to search for the vehicle and located it traveling east on Highway 1. Officers were able to stop the stolen vehicle on Highway 1 in the eastbound lanes and took the suspect into custody without incident.

The quick response of Langley RCMP officers resulted in the successful apprehension of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen vehicle, said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom. I would like to commend the officers for keeping everyone safe and thank the public for their patience during this investigation that caused traffic delays.
