2021-12-20 12:56 PST

On Sunday, December 19, 2021, the RCMP were called to attend a Coastal GasLink drill site on the Marten Forest Service Road near Houston, BC.

A group of protesters allegedly threatened Coastal GasLink security officials, damaged trucks and fired flares and bear bangers at security officials.

The RCMP is currently investigating the incident and will continue to monitor the situation. Any persons found blockading or impeding workers’ access to the area are in breach of the injunction and may be subject to arrest. Officers will also continue their roving patrols of the area to ensure everyone’s safety and the roads remain unobstructed and accessible.
