Fatal collision on Highway 16

Terrace RCMP is investigating following a fatal collision on highway 16 Thursday evening.

On August 8, at 6:02 p.m. Terrace RCMP received the report of a collision between a truck and motorcycle on Highway 16 approximately 35 kilometers west of Terrace.

First responders attended the scene, but despite life saving measures, the motorcyclist did not survive. There were no other injuries reported.

Based on the initial information it appears that the motorcycle was traveling west when it crossed the center line and made contact with a truck travelling east.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400.
