Seeking dash cam footage for cyclist located injured on roadway

On January 23, 2025 at approximately 5:30 p.m. a Richmond RCMP officer was flagged down by a good Samaritan on No 5 Road just North of Williams Road. The good Samaritan was assisting a cyclist laying injured on the roadway.

The Richmond RCMP frontline officer requested EHS and provided medical care until EHS arrived and transported the cyclist to a local area hospital.

Richmond RCMP obtained a statement from the cyclist who advised he had left his workplace and was riding Northbound on No 5 Road. The cyclist remembers attempting to pass an unoccupied parked car but has no further recollection of what occurred.

Richmond RCMP is working to determine what caused the cyclist to crash. Richmond RCMP is seeking dash cam footage or witnesses who may have been in the following area between the hours of 5:10 and 5:40 p.m:
