Police locate suspect after successful dog track

The Dawson Creek RCMP successfully apprehended one suspect with the aid of police canine, Rev after he allegedly broke into a rural residence.

On 29 November 2024 at approximately 08:00pm the Dawson Creek RCMP received a report that 32 year old Jeffery Parr was breaking into a rural residence near Pouce Coupe, BC.

Police immediately attended the area to investigate however Jeffery had fled on foot into the snow. Police Dog Serves attended and assisted front line officers. Police spent over an hour conducting a 5 km track through the snow and located and arrested Jeffery.

Police ensured he was immediately given medical attention upon being taken into police custody, as the weather conditions were extremely harsh and frigid. Jeffery has been charged with failing to comply with a release order, mischief over $5000, and break and enter to a residence.
