File # Mail Theft

Quesnel has had a recent rash of mail theft.

Since January 13, 2025, Quesnel RCMP have received several reports of mailboxes being broken into at multiple locations.

We encourage people to ensure they are checking and emptying their mailboxes on a regular basis to limit the number of items thieves will have access to, says Sgt. Clay Kronebusch. Mail thieves will often use personal information and data to conduct other offences like fraud and identity theft.

If you see anyone tampering with mail boxes or have information regarding these offences please contact the Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211.
