The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 391 calls between April 26 and May 9, 2025. Below are a few highlights of those calls.

On the morning of April 29, Terrace RCMP responded to a report of an assault at the Terrace Airport parking lot. Information was received that one man had hit another man with his vehicle, then hit him over the head with a tire iron. Police attended and located both the victim and suspect on scene where the victim was being treated by witnesses. Police arrested the suspect and transported him back to the detachment where he was held for court. The victim was transported to the local hospital to receive treatment to non-life-threatening injuries. Crown has approved charges of Aggravated assault and assault with a weapon and the man has since been released on conditions with a court date. (2025-3128)

On May 3, a search warrant was executed at a home on the 4600 block of Queensway Drive, Thornhill. The warrant was granted after an investigation into local drug trafficking. The search resulted in significant quantities of suspected cocaine, crystal meth, illicit pharmaceutical drugs, contraband tobacco, prohibited weapons and cash. Seven individuals inside the home were arrested at the time of the search. Five of these were released on scene, while two were taken back to the Terrace Detachment for further investigation and have since been released. This file remains under investigation. (2025-3267)

On the evening of May 8, police received a report of a motorbike which had crashed near the roundabout on Lakelse Ave and Highway 16. EHS attended for the driver of the motorbike and transported him to hospital. An odor of liquor was noted on the man’s breath and an impaired investigation was conducted. Blood samples were obtained from the man to be processed and a 24-hour driving prohibition was issued to him. This file remains under investigation. (2025-3439)
