Prince George

2024-02-26 10:20 PST

File # 2024-5175

Prince George RMCP's Downtown Safety Unit executed a search warrant on the 4200-block of 22 Avenue last week, resulting in the seizure of a number of firearms and suspected illicit drugs. The search warrant was executed on February 18, 2024, in response to an ongoing investigation.

Police officers located what is suspected to be fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine inside the residence. They also located a large amount of ammunition and several firearms and other weapons. Two people located inside the residence during the execution of the search warrant were arrested for breaching their probation conditions, states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

This investigation and the resulting seizure of firearms and illicit drugs is just one way in which Prince George RCMP is working to combat the recent increase in violent crime within the City.

The investigation remains ongoing.
