Castlegar RCMP looking to identify suspect in break and enter

On Monday, August 21, 2023 the Castlegar RCMP received a report of a break, enter and theft to a business in the Kootenay Crossing Mall on Columbia Avenue in Castlegar, BC.

Police attended, spoke to the property representative where it was learned that a lone suspect had forced entry through the rear business door at approximately 12:30 am early Monday morning.

Surveillance footage captures the suspect inside the business where they were observed to leave the business and again return forty-five minutes later. The suspect was able to take an undisclosed amount of cash prior to leaving.

RCMP are requesting anyone with information or who possibly recognizes the suspect to call Castlegar RCMP at (250) 365-7721.
