On Monday, April 1, 2024, shortly before 10:00 pm, Williams Lake RCMP were called to the 1100 Block of South Lakeside Drive in the city.
Two suspects were seen breaking into a vehicle, were confronted by the owner and then left the area. Before leaving, one suspect pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the owner. The two suspects were last seen heading north on South lakeside Drive. There were no reported injuries.
Both suspects have been described as male, wearing all black, each with backpacks and one suspect had a bicycle.
We want to remind the public that if you see suspicious activity and feel a crime is being committed, under no circumstances should you approach the person(s), rather call the police immediately said Insp Rob Lake, OIC Williams Lake RCMP.

The identity of the suspects is not known at this time and we encourage anyone who may have information on who may be responsible, to call the Williams Lake RCMP at (250) 392-6211.
