Fatal Collison on Blackwater Road

Quesnel RCMP are investigating a fatal collision on Blackwater Road.

On July 4, 2025 at approximately 1:48 p.m., an RCMP officer conducting patrols on Blackwater Road near Mitchell Road in Quesnel, located an SUV on its roof, in the ditch.

A 61-year-old man was extracted from the vehicle. Police and paramedics attempted life saving measures on the man but were unable to resuscitate him.

The road was closed for a short period of time but has since been re-opened. 

"The Quesnel RCMP are investigating the cause of the collision," says Cpl. Rob Belanger.
