Powell River RCMP and Tla’amin Nation can confirm that a pack of wolves attacked a dog this morning in the woods north of Hwy 101 and Sliammon Road.
Powell River RCMP and Tla’amin Nation are warning the public to exercise extreme caution in the area.
The Tla’amin Nation trail system between Wilde Road and the Tla’amin store is closed until further notice and the Nation is cautioning residents to keep dogs inside for now.
Powell River Conservation is engaged and is monitoring the situation closely.
