RCMP investigate home invasion

A search warrant was executed to the residence of two suspects in relation to a home invasion.

On January 12, 2025, at approximately 2:10 a.m., the Quesnel RCMP received a report of a home invasion in the 300 block of Hoy Street, in Quesnel. Two suspects broke into a residence, sprayed the victim with bear spray, and damaged several items within the home. The suspects were identified as a 26-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman. The man was reported to be in possession of a handgun during the incident.

The 22-year-old woman was arrested outside of their residence. The residence which was in the 400 block of North Fraser Drive was contained and a search warrant was obtained by police. The North District Emergence Response Team (ERT) assisted with the execution of the search warrant to the residence but the second suspect was not located.

The 22-year-old woman has since been released pending a future court date. The 26-year-old man is still outstanding, and police are attempting to locate him.

The suspects and victims were known to each other, says Sgt. Clay Kronebusch. The outstanding suspect is known to police.
