On Thursday morning, Oceanside Detachment officers and staff were able to spread some holiday cheer delivering Christmas hampers to local families.

This is the seventh year the Oceanside RCMP have been filling and delivering hampers and this year eight families and nineteen children received the hampers full of food, clothing, toys and gift cards. The hampers are able to be filled through fundraising events held during the year, private donations and the generosity of local sponsors including Save On Foods, Quality Foods, Thrifty Foods, Boston Pizza, Red Apple Stores and Loonyrama Plus.

The hampers would not have been made possible without the support of local businesses, Oceanside RCMP Victim Services, Arrowsmith Restorative Justice and the officers and staff of Oceanside RCMP, says Staff Sergeant Travis De Coene, Detachment Commander of the Oceanside RCMP. Our Detachment looks forward to this every year and thanks everyone who make this possible for families in our community.
