File # 2024-14409
A man arrested on a warrant last week has been released back into the community, following a bail hearing today.
On Aug. 12, 2024, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment’s Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU) arrested 40-year-old Cameron Ronald Cole, on an unendorsed warrant related to charges of possession of a loaded restricted firearm and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Following Cameron Cole’s recent arrest, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment informed the public that he had been taken into and remained in custody, said TEU Sergeant Kevin McIntyre, Kamloops RCMP Detachment. Now that he has been released, we feel it’s important to update residents, as he remains the subject of a public interest disclosure issued by police in May. Our concerns related to an increased risk of public violence in the community continue.
