On January 17th 2025, the Fort St John Street Enforcement Team, with assistance from the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a drug search warrant 8900 block of 77th Street, Fort St John, BC.

The Street Enforcement Team initiated this investigation after observing traffic consistent with drug trafficking, often known as a dial-a-dope operation, linked to the residence.

Given the high-risk nature of the investigation, the RCMP Emergency Response Team was requested to assist with executing the search warrant.

One suspect was located inside the residence and arrested. Firearms along with evidence to support drug trafficking were also located.

The search warrant execution completed by Street Enforcement Team and Emergency Response Team garnered much public and media attention on January 17. This successful enforcement action is a continuation of the team’s pro-active effort to suppress drug trafficking in town, said Corporal Connor Watson of the Fort St John Street Enforcement Team. The use of the Emergency Response Team ensured a safe execution of the search warrant for our officers as well as the public and our suspect.

The suspect was released pending further investigation. The Fort St John Street Enforcement Team will be seeking drug trafficking and firearm charges as part of the investigation.

On behalf of Corporal Connor Watson
