Body recovery in Mark Creek, Kimberley

On July 19, 2024 Kimberley RCMP were called to Mark Creek near the downtown core in Kimberley after witnesses believed they had observed a person in the water. Kimberley RCMP attended and can confirm that a man was located deceased and was identified as the subject of a missing person media release sent out to the public on July 13, 2024. Kimberley RCMP was assisted by Kimberley Search and Rescue as well as the BC Coroner’s Service

Kimberley RCMP does not believe there was any criminality involved and the family is receiving support through Victim Services.
