File # 2024
In partnership with Country Grocer, the Nanaimo RCMP is hoping to Cram a Cruiser with purchased food items. On Saturday December 7, 2024 from 11 AM to 4 PM, police officers and Community Policing volunteers of the Nanaimo RCMP will be stationed out front of Country Grocer located at 1800 Dufferin Crescent, graciously receiving donations of non-perishable food items. The food will then be placed in their police vehicle and taken to Loaves and Fishes, a local non-profit organization who distributes food to those in need.

It is easy to forget that many in our community face financial hardships, especially during the holiday season. Taking a few minutes from your day to donate food items can have a significant impact on those who are struggling just to get by, said R/Cst Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.

To make it easy for shoppers, staff at Country Grocer will have pre-packaged bags of food that can be purchased at the till. Cash donations will also be accepted.
We look forward to receiving your generosity! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Nanaimo RCMP Community Policing Unit at 250-734-5445.
