Media Advisory: Impaired boating public safety campaign

Richmond RCMP, in partnership with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) will be conducting the 5th annual joint initiative at McDonald Beach. This initiative is to increase awareness, prevention and enforcement associated to boating safety and impaired driving.

Date: Saturday, June 28, 2025
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: McDonald Beach Boat Launch
                3500 McDonald Road,
                Richmond, BC

 

As part of this joint operation, Richmond RCMP officers from the Vancouver International Airport, Community Engagement Team, Richmond Communications Unit, and the Richmond RCMP marine vessel, the Fraser Guardian, will be at McDonald Beach for this event. Representatives from ICBC, and the Port of Vancouver will also be on site.

As part of this operation, media will have access to the RCMP Fraser Guardian between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 am in the parking lot of McDonald Beach.
