Vandalism at Squamish BMX park

The Squamish RCMP is investigating an act of vandalism that occurred at the Squamish BMX park. Sometime in the evening of August 16th, 2024, two unknown individuals on Surron bikes caused significant damage to the park facilities. The vandalism has impacted the local community, particularly the youth who regularly use the park. The repairs are expected to be substantial, and the park is currently closed while crews work to restore it.

The Sea to Sky RCMP - Squamish is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for this act of vandalism. If you were in the area during the time of the incident, or if you have any information that could aid in this investigation, please contact the Sea to Sky RCMP - Squamish at (604) 892-6100 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
