Police investigating fatal collision on Barkerville Highway

Quesnel RCMP are investing a collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian.

On October 26, 2024 at approximately 7:46 p.m., a member of the Quesnel RCMP came upon a collision on the Barkerville Highway near the 4 Mile Store. A pickup truck had struck a pedestrian that was attempting to cross the roadway. The 64-year-old man that was struck died as a result of the injuries sustained from the collision. The driver of the pickup truck remained on the scene and has been cooperative with the police investigation.
